The Question of Change in the Aztecs
The Aztecs were a very rich culture that lived in the 15th century with a population of 13 million in what is today Central Mexico. This ancient Aztec symbol describes a simple natural event with a deep philosophy. A drop of water falling into a lake creates a huge change by expanding into rings in a water mass millions of times larger than itself. In simple words, it symbolizes that a tiny action can have a much larger impact area than itself.
The issue: Don't say it's a mentality issue; the guys thought that that tiny lake was a part of the universe and would act on the same principle. How beautifully they were able to induct centuries ago. Don't forget that in every action you take, there will be an effect and a reaction. It's only a matter of time before a change occurs...
Orbis
The corners of the circle….
There are no linear lines or corners in nature… Perhaps this is why we have been fond of circular forms since our existence, because humans have developed by observing and imitating nature.
The source of everything, the sun, is round and radiates circular light… When you throw a stone into water, circles form… The sprouts of many plants grow by opening from a circular spiral… When people hold hands, they naturally form a circle… Maybe that’s why Göbeklitepe or Stonehenge, which is 12 thousand years old, is circular. The first thing that set humanity into motion; the wheel, is also circular. And just like our world that is constantly spinning, our eyes, which we perceive everything in the world, are also round… We all started our lives in our mother’s round belly, and maybe that’s why we pulled our feet up to our belly and rolled like a ball whenever we were scared or wanted to relax. Circles were always with us. When we end a sentence, in a raindrop, in the trunk of a tree, in the planets and stars shining in the sky, in the center of a flower or in the center of a person’s belly button…
Mesele, which adds meaning to objects with symbols, has been going around for 10 years and decided to make a new start with the ancestor of basic forms, the round. It has created a very special collection under the name Orbis, which means sphere in Latin and also expresses our eye with which we perceive the globe. A brand new story begins at the center of the eye and all other round symbols born on these lands… The world is turning no matter what you say, everything we come around is a MESELE…
