Reflect's first collection, named "Solidarity", aims to integrate Syrian children living in Istanbul into education. It draws its inspiration from art therapy carried out with Syrian refugee children living in Istanbul. Major concepts in their lives such as war, migration, chaos, and communal life gained a different meaning with Reflect's workshop and were reflected on the canvases. The images emerging from the imagination of children were also reflected on Reflect's products with embroidery through the interpretations of young designers and artists.
REDKID is a self-portrait of a 6 year old child. Self-portrait works allow children to express the constant changes that occur in their subconscious. Named after famous cowboy cartoons.
reflect's first collection "Solidarity” aims the educational integration of Syrian refugee children living in Istanbul. It takes it's inspiration from the art therapy session conducted with Syrian refugee children living in Istanbul. The images that flowed from the imaginations of the children related to their experiences of war immigration chaos and living in refugee camps were interpreted by young designers and were embroidered on reflect products.
REDKID is a portrait of a 6 year old. Based on the idea of transformational therapy drawing self-portraits enables children to reflect the changes undergone in their lives. Named after the famous cowboy.
